As of 01.01.2023, the collection will only be carried out by one company
Up to now, waste paper collection in Greven, Germany, has been carried out in parallel by the two companies REMONDIS and Ahlert. The fact that two companies offer an identical service and collect from the same streets is neither efficient nor does it contribute to climate protection. For this reason, REMONDIS Münsterland GmbH & Co. KG will be discontinuing its part of the collection service at the end of the year. From 01.01.2023, waste paper collection in Greven will be taken over completely by Bernhard Ahlert GmbH & Co. KG will take over. Citizens can continue to use their existing waste containers.
On 01.01.2021, REMONDIS Münsterland GmbH & Co. KG took over the activities of Reiling MS-Recycling GmbH. Since then, the collection of waste paper in the City of Greven has also changed: REMONDIS and Ahlert offer the free service with blue bins in parallel and are listed separately in the collection calendar with different collection dates. However, having only one company carry out the collection seems to make sense from a climate protection point of view and against the background of resource conservation.
The containers are currently owned by REMONDIS. These bins will be taken over by Ahlert on 31 December 2022, so that nothing will change for the citizens of the City of Greven. They can continue to use their existing blue bins.
