The global economy continues to be be affected by multiple crises – be it the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic, the war in Ukraine or climate change with all its challenges. This uncertain situation was recently reflected in the turnover figures of REMONDIS, one of the world’s leading recycling companies. After a break in its growth trajectory in 2023, REMONDIS recently recorded an increase again. This allowed it to resume its moderate course of growth, as shown in the figures for 2024:
Across the group, the company generated a total turnover of 13.2 billion euros in 2024 with around 46,000 employees worldwide. This represents an increase in revenue of 1.1 billion euros compared to the previous year. Across the entire RETHMANN Group, a total of 24.5 billion euros was generated in 2024 with around 100,000 employees – compared to 22.9 billion euros in the previous year.
REMONDIS thus remains in stable economic waters, even in times of volatile raw material and energy prices and ongoing global crises. This resilience is also due to the fact that the circular economy in particular is a truly future-oriented industry. Climate protection, resource conservation, clean water and the transition to sustainable mobility will remain the most important challenges for the foreseeable future. This is where REMONDIS comes in, driving developments forward in its business sectors of recycling, municipal and industrial services, and water management. With this stable foundation, the company is looking to the future with confidence.
